Isometric Training - 30 in Thirty

So what can an isometric program look like? Here is one idea, an exercise program provided to me by Brad Thorpe from Isophit https://www.linkedin.com/in/bradthorpe/

I had a great conversation with Brad last week and came away thinking he is “Mr Isometrics” given his specialisation and passion in this area.  We chatted about the program and the energetics of it, blood occlusion, and other such things. Basically as the name suggests you perform 30 exercises in 30 minutes.  Each exercise you maximally contract for 45seconds and then transition to the next exercise in 15 seconds. Check out the isometric platform that he has built that you maximally push or pull against. Simple but smart and the variety of exercises you can perform on it is mind boggling. Note though, for isometrics you don’t need equipment as a door way/immovable object can provide the resistance you need.

You might want to start with 10 in Ten but try bringing some variation into your training and give it a go and see what you think!
